
You might need guy ropes where the whip meets the coil. Stack on top of the Versatee your extender arms, then the coil, then the whip. Here is what I recommend: go vertical make the counterpoise wire 33 feet (1/4 wl for 40m). I do not know if you have extra extender arms or the longer 9.5 foot whips.

It does work on 20 (1.06:1 at 14.2) so I know the basic setup is there and working. I have searched both the files area and the prior emails and found nothing that seems to help


Just a straight line across the top (very high SWR) My antenna analyzer does not even show a dip on 40 meters. I have tried to follow the cookbook for 40 meters dipole both direct feed and with the TRSB to no avail. I have the Buddipole deluxe long as well as the TRSB.
